1) If you are becoming a MULTILIT licensee, compulsory accreditation training is included in your first year licence fee. Licence fees vary according to the type of business you are operating. This is to ensure correct delivery of the program to your fee-paying clients.
2) The accreditation course is also open to teachers who would like a more detailed understanding of the program. If, after accreditation, you would like to use the program in a commercial business or non-school context, please contact the MULTILIT Business Development Manager for licensing details before enrolling on the course.
3) Accreditation is only offered in Sydney at the moment. When there is demand, we will roll it out to other cities. The accreditation involves attendance at three days of training. The first day covers the same content as the one-day professional training workshop offered to teachers.
A further two days will be spent covering each aspect of the program in more detail, including:
- additional intervention strategies for MULTIIT Word Attack and Sight Word components
- positive teaching as a behaviour management strategy
- comprehension activities and practical training in how to administer and monitor parent/peer MULTILIT Reinforced Reading Program
- training in administration of student assessments and data recording
The accreditation training will end with an assessment of skills learnt in the preceding three days. On successful completion of this assessment, a certificate of accreditation will be sent.
Licensees will need to attend an annual workshop to update skills and undergo further training and development.
