MULTILIT Enrolment Terms and Conditions.
Enrolment
- MULTILIT premises are under camera surveillance for the protection of students and staff
- MULTILIT does not offer make up sessions for missed sessions unless MULTILIT cancels a session
- MULTILIT reserves the right to substitute tutors at short notice. If no suitable substitute can be found we reserve the right to reschedule the session
- MULTILIT programs run for continuous 10 week periods nominated by MULTILIT. However we do not offer sessions in the school holidays
- If a public holiday falls on your child's session within your nominated period MULTILIT will provide alternate sessions for make up. No refunds are provided
- MULTILIT does not make up time for late student arrival
- MULTILIT's policy is that only our staff conduct sessions. If the parent requires an outside observer to attend sessions a prior request must be made to and authorised by the Executive Clinician. MULTILIT reserves the right to refuse any such requests
- MULTILIT staff may observe your child's tutoring sessions for training, quality assurance and behaviour management purposes
Student Behaviour
MULTILIT employs a number of behaviour management strategies such as Positive Teaching. MULTILIT reserves the right to cancel a student's program if:
- his/her behaviour is disruptive to the learning experience of themselves or others
- his/her behaviour prevents tutors from teaching
- he/she is refusing to participate
- his/her behaviour is threatening to themselves or others
The parent/caregiver will be notified if any of the above take place.
Parent Involvement/Responsibilities
- Payment is due at the commencement of the program or by approved instalment plan. MULTILIT reserves the right to cancel student enrolment if the account remains unpaid
- MULTILIT requires you provide credit card details for resources borrowed. If any materials are lost, damaged or not returned you may be charged for them. There is a limit to the number of resources a student can borrow at one time
- MULTILIT does not take responsibility for your child to and from the car park to reception
- It is expected that a parent/guardian will read with their child a minimum of 4 times per week for 20 minutes employing the MULTILIT Reinforced Reading strategies. MULTILIT provides a complimentary copy of MULTILIT Reinforced Reading DVD for you to view the appropriate reading strategies
- if you choose to enrol your child in the Monitoring or Partnership Programs it is expected that a parent/guardian will deliver the program as directed by MULTILIT a minimum of 4 or 2 times per week and attend the allocated session at the Clinic
Reporting
- MULTILIT Literacy Reports are short factual written reports containing a student's testing results. Testing is usually conducted at the end of a student's 10-week period. Parents are able to obtain weekly feedback about their child's performance from their child's tutor
- MULTILIT does not speculate about the causes related to a student's reading difficulties
- MULTILIT cannot give any guarantees regarding an individual student's progress
MULTILIT has a formal complaints handling procedure and information can be obtained through reception.
